Leave us a review and let us know what you thought about the English Tarts.
Hot tea, delightful desserts, and homemade fare have become staples in downtown for anyone wanting a little taste of comfort. Combining this with exemplary service, and you have the precise reason The English Tart has been recognized time and time again.
This little cafe has not only had the honour of being featured on CTV Morning Live Vancouver and CBC, but was also highlighted in the Scenic 7 BC website blog and made the Province Newspaper’s Top 20 Tea Shops.
Ruth Janes, otherwise known as Mission’s very own English Tart, has been downtown, serving up delightful delectables and hot tea for almost ten years.
The English Tart opened its doors in April of 2013, and Ruth has been baking her way into the hearts of our community ever since. Ruth officially retired in May of 2026, and Sara has officially taken over!
Pop in to The English Tart soon for some sticky toffee pudding and a spot of tea.
Thank you
